2001 SUMMER SESSION

May 2001

May 13 : Deadline to register for F and Y Summer courses; after this date a late registration fee is imposed
May 14 : Summer classes begin in F and Y section code courses
May 20 : Deadline to enrol in Summer Session F and Y courses
May 18 : University closed
May 21 : Victoria Day; University closed

June 2001

June 10 : Deadline to drop F courses from academic record and GPA*
June 22 : Classes end in F courses
June 25-29 : Final examinations in F courses, and deferred examinations in specified S courses from Apr/May 2001

July 2001

July 2 : Canada Day Holiday. University closed
July 3 : Summer Session Classes begin in S section code courses
July 3 : First date to confirm intention to graduate in November 2001
July 9 : Deadline to enrol in S courses
July 22 : Deadline to drop Y courses from academic record and GPA*
July 24 : Examination timetable for S and Y courses published
July 29 : Deadline to drop S courses from academic record and GPA*

August 2001

August 6 : Civic Holiday; University closed
August 10 : Classes end in S and Y courses
August 13-17 : Final examinations in S and Y courses, and deferred examinations from Apr/May

September 2001

September 16 : Last date to confirm intention to graduate in November 2001
September 7 : Statement of Results mailed beginning today
September 14 : Deadline for students not registered in the Summer Session to request to graduate at Fall Convocation and to change their program enrolment

* After this deadline a mark is recorded for each course, whether course work is completed or not (a "0" is assigned for incomplete work), and calculated into the GPA

April 2002

April 15: Summer Session course enrolment begins

May 2002

May 13 : Summer Session classes begin in F and Y courses
May 15 : Deadline for new students to apply for admission to the University to enrol in Summer Session S courses

June 2002

June 21 : Classes end in F courses

June 2002

June 24-28 : Final examinations may be held in F courses, and deferred examinations in specified S courses from April/May 2002

July 2002

July 1 : Canada Day Holiday; University is closed
July 2 : Summer Session classes begin in S courses

August 2002

August 9 : Classes end in S and Y courses
August 12-16 : Final Examinations in S and Y courses; Deferred Examinations from April/May 2002 and specified courses from June 2002

March 2001

March 1 : Deadline for new students to apply for admission to the University to enrol in 2001-2002 Fall/Winter Session

June 2001

June 1 : Deadline for special students to apply for admission to the University to enrol in 2001-2002 Fall/Winter Session

September 2001

September 3 : Labour Day; University closed
September 4-7 : New students Orientation Period
September 10 : Fall term classes begin in F and Y section code courses
September 17-28 : Nominations for by-elections for Faculty Committees
September 23 : Last day to add courses with F and Y section codes
September 23 : Last day to enrol in Subject POSt for 2001-2002 Session

October 2001

October 1 : Meeting of the Faculty General Committee
October 5 : First date to confirm intention to graduate in June 2002
October 8 : Thanksgiving; University closed
October 19 : Examination timetable for F section code courses posted

November 2001

November 4 : Last day to drop courses with F section codes from academic record and GPA*
November 5 : Meeting of the Faculty General Committee
November 16 : Deadline to request corrections to 2000-2001 Fall/Winter academic record
November 19-20 : Arts & Science Fall Convocations

December 2001

December 3 : Meeting of the Faculty General Committee
December 7 : Classes end (Dec 8 for Saturday classes)
December 7 : Last date to confirm intention to graduate in June 2002
December 10-19 : Final examinations in F section code courses, and deferred exams from August 2001; Term tests in Y section code courses
December 20 - January 6 : Christmas Holidays for students; University is open on Dec 20 and 21, then closed until January 7, 2002. Classes begin again on January 7, 2002

2002 WINTER SESSION of ACADEMIC YEAR 2001-2002

January 2002

January 7 : Winter Session classes begin; F course results begin to be available on STS/SWS
January 20 : Deadline to enrol in S section code courses; 2nd fees installment due
January 14-Feb 15 : Nominations for elections for Faculty Committees

February 2002

February 1 : Deadline to apply for Study Elsewhere & Exchanges (2002-2003)
February 4 : Meeting of the Faculty General Committee
February 15 : Final Examination timetable for S/Y courses posted
February 17 : Last day to drop courses with Y section codes from academic record and GPA*
February 18-22 : Reading Week; Deferred Examinations from December 2000

March 2002

March 1 : Deadline to request corrections to 2001 Summer academic record
March 1 : Deadline to apply for Faculty International Summer Programs; contact is Woodsworth College
March 4 : Meeting of the Faculty General Committee
March 10 : Last day to drop courses with S section codes from academic record and GPA*
March 29 : Good Friday: University closed

April 2002

April 1 : Deadline to apply for admission to the University Fall/Winter Session 2002-2003
April 1 : Joint Meeting of General Committee and Faculty Council
April 12 : Classes end (Apr 13 for Saturday classes)
April 15-19 : Study period; no tests or examinations in this period
Apr 22-May 10 : Final examinations in S and Y section code courses

May 2002

May 13 : Summer Session classes begin
May 20 : Victoria Day; University closed
May 31 : Statements of Results mailed beginning today
June 10-14 : (tentative - to be confirmed) Arts & Science 2002 Spring Convocations
