Introductory Latin  104S

An intensive introduction to Latin for students who have no knowledge of the language; preparation for the reading of Latin literature.
Exclusion: LAT101H, 102H. Students who have studied Latin previously must obtain permission from the Undergraduate Coordinator before enrolling.


LAT102H1
Introductory Latin: Continuation  52S

An intensive language course for students who have some Latin. This course is equivalent to the second half of LAT 100Y.
Exclusion: LAT100Y
Prerequisite: Some background in Latin.


LAT201H1
Intermediate Latin I  52S

Reading of selections of Latin prose works with systematic language study.
Prerequisite: LAT100Y/102H. Students who have completed an OAC in Latin must obtain permission from the Undergraduate Coordinator before enrolling.


LAT202H1
Intermediate Latin II  52S

Continued language training with readings in Latin prose and verse.
Prerequisite: LAT201H


NOTE
Frequency of Offering: in each fall-winter session, LAT 330H will be offered and a minimum of 3 half-courses in each of the 300H and 400H series. In odd-numbered years the courses offered in the 300H and 400H series will normally be drawn from those with odd numbers, and in even-numbered years from those with even numbers.

A survey of the prose and poetry of the Middle Ages with emphasis on the linguistic features of mediaeval Latin.
